In Japan Japanese calligraphy is called SHODŌ. SHODŌ is a visual art form born in China that represents the beauty of writing. Using brush and ink, the characters are written on the paper and it gives life to their aesthetic characteristics. Thanks to the study of the method of representation of the beauty of the characters, within a system of codified norms, the artist is able to express his own personality. It is therefore a very special cultural expression that combines moral education and artistic sense.
